Chocolate Gravy

Perfect Arkansas Chocolate Gravy

There is nothing more Arkansas than a hot plate of chocolate gravy with warm buttery biscuits.

 ½ Stick Butter
 1 cup Sugar
 4 tbsp Coca Powder
 4 tbsp Flour
 1 Can Evaporated Milk
 1 cup Milk
 Salt
1

Melt butter in the bottom of your pan until just melted.

2

Mix Sugar, Flour, and Cocoa together in a separate bowl. Add mixture to the butter and whisk until smooth. Just like with making regular white gravy you want to make sure you have plenty of fat in there to lightly cook your flour in the butter.

3

Once its all combined, slowly begin to add the cup of whole milk and the can of evaporated milk until smooth. Whisk until nice and smooth and let it cook on medium heat until it begins to thicken.

4

Add a pinch of salt. I know many might skip this step but having just the right pinch of salt will make or break your gravy. There is an old saying when it comes to cooking: if your making something sweet add a pinch of salt. If your making something savory ad just a pinch of sugar. Serve over some warm buttery biscuits and enjoy.

You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
