Fireside Apple Cobbler

3 lbs 3lbs of sliced and peeled apples OR 3 cans of Apple Pie Filling
1 Box of yellow cake mix
 ½ lb Brown Sugar
 ½ Stick Salted Butter
 34 tsp Lemon Juice
 ½ tsp Ground Cinnamon
1

This recipe is very rich. Lots of sugar!! If you want to make it a little less rich, then take the time to core, peel, and slice fresh apples. Granny Smith apples work well.

2

Spread apples evenly across bottom of oven and sprinkle with lemon juice. Continue to add ingredients in layers. DO NOT MIX THE INGREDIENTS!

3

Add 1/2 lb. of brown sugar over top of apples. If lumpy, use your fingers to break up lumps and chunks and sprinkle over the apples evenly. Add the full box of cake mix over top the brown sugar. Add 4 tabs of butter on top of cake mix layer. Again... Do not mix the ingredients.

4

Sprinkle the cinnamon on top and add the lid to the oven and take to your fire that has been burning outdoors.

5

Use 16-20 of your favorite charcoal briquettes to establish a base layer. Your Dutch Oven will eventually rest on top of this layer. Place your dutch oven on top of your coals and add five or six to the top of the oven. Cook for 45 minutes until the top is lightly browned and caramelized. Enjoy with some good old fashioned country vanilla ice cream!

  1. Heya this is kind of of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  2. Appreciating the commitment you put into your site and detailed information you present. It’s awesome to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same out of date rehashed information. Great read! I’ve saved your site and I’m adding your RSS feeds to my Google account.

  3. When I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now when a comment is added I get four emails sticking with the same comment. Could there be in any manner you are able to remove me from that service? Thanks!

  4. I’ve been browsing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It?s pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be a lot more useful than ever before.
