Bring the whole family out to the park and make some great memories this 4th of July. Park interpreters will have a host of games and activities lined up to help you enjoy your time at DeGray. Expect a number of crowd favorites back this year, from the watermelon eating contest and water relays, to the underwater treasure hunt and the fourth annual Freedom 5K Fun Run. Lodge Island will be the place to be with fun activities, good food, and great viewing locations for the evening fireworks display!

Enjoy all-American fun for the entire family! Activities are scheduled at the James A. Gaston Visitor Center. Fireworks at dark with shuttles available from park pavilion to the bluff for a minimal fee of $2/person. Contact the park for a detailed schedule.

In it’s 35th year, Pops on the River is a free community event and the largest Fourth of July event in the state with more than 30,000 attendees. The event has expanded to include more activities and a bigger fireworks show. Activities include: free children’s activities, shopping marketplace, food trucks and lots of entertainment. Entertainment inside the First Security Amphitheater includes the Oh Say! Can you Sing? Contest, live music, and the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.
